It is with great pride that I welcome you to the official portal of the Association for Risk Management and Insurance of Benin (AMRAB).
Our association was born out of an urgent need: to structure and promote a culture of risk management within Beninese public, private, and civil society organizations. Faced with an increasingly uncertain environment, risk management has become a strategic issue for the performance, sustainability, and governance of our organizations.
AMRAB aims to be a space for exchange, training and mobilization for all stakeholders involved in risk management: professionals, academics, institutions, businesses and young talents.
Through this portal, we aim to make our work more accessible, more readable, and more useful to the entire community. Here, you'll find our news, events, publications, and ways to join or support our network.

Who
are we?
The Association for Risk Management and Insurance of Benin (AMRAB) is a professional association committed to educating, training and raising awareness among professionals in proactive risk management.
Founded in 2024, with its headquarters located in the Littoral Department, Commune of Cotonou, C/916, Maison SEZAN MICHEL, St-Jean Gbèdiga, COTONOU, it is dedicated to the protection of businesses, their employees, their partners, and the economy as a whole.
History of AMRAB
The Benin Association for Risk Management and Insurance (AMRAB) was founded in 2024 in Cotonou, in the Littoral Department. Its headquarters are located at Maison Sezan Michel, in the St-Jean Gbèdiga district.
Initiated by a collective of Beninese Risk Management professionals, AMRAB was born from a shared observation: the need to supervise, professionalize and strengthen the culture of risk management and insurance in public and private organizations in Benin.
The association quickly structured itself around a clear vision: to train, raise awareness, and connect stakeholders in the field through concrete actions. It is committed to continuing education, disseminating best practices, organizing conferences, and promoting innovation in risk management.
Among the highlights:
- The Constituent General Meeting was held on August 27, 2024.
- AMRAB formalized its registration request with the MISP (Ministry of the Interior) on the same day, under number 698.
- The association has been a signatory to the FARMA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) since August 30, 2024 in Nigeria.
- Today, it brings together more than 60 active members from various sectors of activity.
AMRAB positions itself as a key player in the development of a proactive Risk Management culture, closely linked to African realities.
