AMRAB

Of August 26-28, 2025, Lagos hosted the 24th edition of the Annual Risk Management Conference, held under the evocative theme: “ Global Risks, Local Solutions" .

This major event brought together experts, decision-makers and practitioners in Risk Management from across Africa and beyond to reflect together on global challenges and appropriate local responses.

Among the highlights of this edition, the round table of Presidents of member associations of FARMA (Federation of African Risk Management Associations) aroused great interest.

The President of AMRAB, representing Benin, had the honor of participating as a panelist, alongside his counterparts, to discuss the interconnections between geopolitical risks and socio-political crises in Africa, and the local and regional responses that risk managers can propose.

Rich and strategic discussions highlighted:
   – The growing impact of geopolitical tensions on African economies
   – Social vulnerabilities exacerbated by political crises
   – The crucial role of national associations in building resilience
  – The importance of regional cooperation to anticipate and mitigate risks

Africa deserves visionary leaders, rooted in democratic values, capable of building strong institutions and fostering the emergence of an inclusive society. We must also, as citizen risk managers, intellectuals, and agents of change, continue to demand accountability and help strengthen good governance mechanisms in our countries. » Elie AGBAZAHOU, Pr. AMRAB.

🎖 At the end of the conference, the President of AMRAB had the privilege of receiving the distinction " Recognition of Valuable Support", welcoming the constructive contribution of AMRAB as a sister association of CRMI Nigeria.

This recognition demonstrates AMRAB's continued commitment to promoting a proactive and collaborative risk culture in Benin and, more broadly, on the continent.
