AMRAB

AMRAB represented by its President, Mr. Agossou AGBAZAHOU, had the honor of participating in the Panel of Presidents of African Associations on the reasons for the creation of an African Federation of Risk Management (FARMA), during the second day of the African Risk Management Meetings – RARM 2025 held in Abidjan.

Africa is much more than a continent. It is an engine of demographic and economic growth, and a key geopolitical player in the 21st century.

An African Risk Management Federation whose project was launched in Abidjan during RARM 2024, whose MOU was signed by the founding member associations in Lagos during the 23rd CRMI congress, and whose statutes and internal regulations will be signed next October, during the annual congress of IRMSA, the South African Risk Management Association.

"We have a clear and ambitious 2025/2026 roadmap to roll out in the coming weeks..." said Professor Kevin UGWUOKE, current Professor of FARMA and Professor of CRMI (Nigeria).

According to Professor Agossou AGBAZAHOU, FARMA, of which AMRAB is a founding member, meets several strategic, organizational and operational needs on a continental scale:

– Need for harmonization of practices and standardization of methods, tools and benchmarks, facilitating a coherent approach across the continent
– Capacity building in terms of training, certifications, workshops, etc. to increase the power of local skills.
– Credible interlocutor with national, regional and international institutions: AU, AfDB, UN
– FARMA to provide coordinated responses to the numerous border risks that disrupt the balance of our economies: pandemics, terrorism, cyber attacks, etc.
– FARMA to better structure the Risk Management market as well as the various players, in support of good governance of our specific risks, for better performance of African organizations.

The Francorisk Club, chaired by Marc DE POMMEREAU, and the entire partner network of French-speaking African Risk Management associations, as well as the English-speaking and Portuguese-speaking Risk Management networks, actively support and participate in the achievement of FARMA's objectives.
